Hello Everyone! I created a Rose Gold Smokey Eye using one of my favorite eyeshadow palettes. I used the Make Up Geek x Manny MUA Eyeshadow Palette. It is definitely one of my go-to palettes when I am not sure what I want to do with my makeup. It has neutrals as well as a couple of bold colors. You can create looks that range from a natural makeup look to an incredibly dramatic look. With this, I tried to keep it somewhere in the middle. I had work/school that day, so I wanted to keep it “wearable”. I know for most, this look wouldn’t be an every day work look, but for me it is. As you get to know me better, you will come to see that I tend to lean towards looks that are more colorful and dramatic. I love colors! Especially reds, oranges, and purples.
Alright! Let’s get into how I created this look!
Face: My go-to every day foundation is Pixi Beauty H2O Skin Tint Tinted Face Gel in No. 1 Cream. I have extremely bad under eye bags (thanks to hereditary and being a mom of a toddler), so I use ItCosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Full Coverage Anti-Aging Waterproof Concealer in Neutral Medium. I find it works well. Lately I have been reaching for Pacifica’s Transcendent Concentrated Correcting Concealer in Light to conceal the acne spots around my face and over the ItCosmetics Concealer. I love how it’s made with natural minerals. I always set my concealer with RCMA No Color Powder.
The highlighter I use just about every day (because I love it so much!) is theBalm Cosmetics Mary-Lou Manizer Highlighter and I used it to highlight my cheek bones, nose, and cupids bow in this look. For blush I used Tarte Cosmetics Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blush in Exposed.
Eyes: I always prime my eyelids with Pixi Beauty Eye Bright Primer. I used the Make Up Geek x Manny MUA Eyeshadow Palette for all the shadows in this look. For the transition shade I used Beaches & Cream. In the crease I used Sora. For the outside 1/3 of my lid I used Mars (love this red) and then I darkened the outside V with Aphrodite. For the center 1/3 of my lid I used Luna (one of my favorites!). In the inner corner and for the brow bone highlight I used Artemis. Then I used Aphrodite to line the top half of my lash line to give the illusion of a slight winged liner.
I lined my lower waterline with Nabla Magic Pencil in Light Nude and my upper lash line with NYX Slide On Glide On Pencil in Jet Black. Then I applied a combination of 2 mascaras, which is a trick I always use. I prefer more natural mascaras and I really dislike waterproof mascaras.
So I put Pacifica’s Dream Big Mascara on first using the volumizing brush first and then following with the lengthening brush once the first application dries. Once both layers are dried, I put on Blinc Mascara Amplified. It is a “waterproof” mascara without actually being waterproof.
Eyebrows: To be honest, I usually do very little with my eyebrows unless I am doing a specific look for a challenge or I want to be a little more dramatic. I usually just use a clear brow gel because my eyebrows can be a little crazy sometimes. Currently I am using Chella Beauty Eyebrow Defining Gel.
Lips: For this look I used my favorite nude lipstick that I own. I find myself reaching for this one almost daily, but I force myself to branch out some days. But, for this day and look I felt it was the best one. I used Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick in Celebrity Skin.
Well, that completes the mini tutorial for this Rose Gold Smokey Eye. Thanks for reading and if you decide to recreate this look, please let me know. I would love to see it!
