My Holy Grail Face Products, Part 4: Baby Bat Beauty Translucent Setting Powder
What’s Up with my Skin???
I thought it was about time to write a series of blog posts about my everyday foundation routine. I am going to begin with reviews on each of my holy grail face products and then I will do a mini tutorial on how I use the products. I’ve been doing this specific routine now for a couple of months and I really love how my skin looks with it. I usually do not like heavy or full coverage foundations or the cakey look you can sometimes get from using them or using too much. On the other hand I prefer a more natural look. I guess you might call it a no-makeup makeup look.
I would say my skin is normal to combination skin with my T-zone being the oiliest. Also, I have extremely sensitive skin on my face and have to be careful about the products I use to cleanse it, moisturizer it, and create a base for the rest of my makeup. I have had allergic reactions to many products and so I try to be ingredient conscious when choosing which products to use. The allergic reactions that I tend to have are increased acne and rashes. My preference is towards ingredients and products that are more natural. The products also need to come from a cruelty free brand and it’s a plus if they are vegan. I need to avoid gluten and dairy as I have allergic reactions to both of these. Some other ingredients I avoid in my skincare and makeup products are mineral oils, parabans, and phthalates.
My Holy Grail Face Products: Setting Powder
Baby Bat Beauty Translucent Setting Powder
Baby Bat Beauty Translucent Setting Powder is exactly what it says it is. It is a powder with no color that is perfect for setting your makeup and baking. There will not be any flashback during photography with using this product, which makes it great for photo shoots and weddings. The setting powder comes in a sifter jar with 10 grams of product. The product is finely milled and there are no harmful ingredients in it. When you use this product it will leave your skin velvety smooth and matte. Other than the translucent shade, there are 2 other options available. There is a fair-medium shade with a yellow undertone and a medium-deep shade with a warm undertone. You can purchase this product on the Baby Bat Beauty website for $10.99.
I am so glad that Lorelei and I discovered this indie brand! Baby Bat Beauty is a cruelty free, vegan, and ingredient conscious company, and their products are amazing! I will probably be doing a separate blog post on this company in the future. Their Translucent Setting Powder is the best setting powder that I have used. I love the way it makes my skin feel and look. I usually only use it to set my under eye area and any place I used concealer, but I find myself applying it all over my face most days. It makes my skin look smooth and soft. It creates a matte look without being overly matte. My natural shine comes through without looking greasy and oily. I HIGHLY recommend Baby Bat Beauty Translucent Setting Powder to everyone. It is a truly amazing product.
