Dose of Colors EyesCream Eyeshadow Palette: Blueberry Swirl Bubblegum Tutorial

Lorelei and I won a giveaway on Instagram and received a Dose of Colors EyesCream Eyeshadow Palette. I’ve been playing around with it and it is a pretty good palette. I love the names. They are all named after something associated with ice cream (hence the name of the palette). The colors are also very pretty and there are a couple really unique colors. In this post I am going to do a tutorial for a look I created using this eyeshadow palette. The name comes from a blend of the two main eyeshadows I used, Blueberry Swirl and Bubblegum. So, here is my tutorial on this Blueberry Swirl Bubblegum look.
Blueberry Swirl Bubblegum Tutorial
Using the Dose of Colors EyesCream Eyeshadow Palette
I always begin by moisturizing my face with Josie Maran 100% Pure Argan Oil, and then I cover my dark circles with ItCosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Anti-Aging Concealer in Neutral Medium. My every day base for my face is Pixi Beauty H2O SkinTint in No 1 Cream. It covers any of my imperfections and it lasts through my work day. I also prefer a lighter coverage unless I have a special event to go to. I apply it using a Real Techniques Expert Face Brush (everyone seriously needs this brush!). Next, I use Pacifica’s Transcendent Concentrated Concealer in Light to cover any acme spots and to place over the ItCosmetics under eye concealer. Finally I set the concealer using RCMA No Color Powder.
For this look I chose Lubov Cosmetics Highlighter in Unicorn Magick. This highlighter is such a gorgeous purple pink when the colors are swirled together. And, man, do you glow when you wear it! This was my first time wearing it and I absolutely love it. I place the highlighter on my cheek bones, the bridge of my nose, and my cupid’s bow. I use an Elf Cosmetics Flawless Concealer Brush to apply my highlighters most of the time. Then I place Tarte Cosmetics Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blush in Exposed on the apples of my cheeks and blend it out with my Real Techniques Blush Brush.
For this look I mostly used shadows from the Dose of Colors EyesCream Eyeshadow Palette. Two of the colors really caught my eyes, Blueberry Swirl and Bubblegum. I love wearing purples and pinks on a daily basis. They are perfect for work because they can be considered subtle, but they also add a pop of color to your look. Before starting the eyeshadows, prime your eyelids with Pixi Beauty Eye Bright Primer.
Begin my using Berries N’ Cream as a transition shade and bring it down into your crease slightly. Put Blueberry Swirl on the outer V of each eye and blend it across your crease, making sure to bring it onto your lid about 1/3 of the way in. Also, make sure to blend it up into Berries N’ Cream to create a seamless blend. You may need to add more product to your brush to either darken the crease (using Blueberry Swirl) or to lighten/blend out the crease (using Berries N’ Cream). With a pencil brush, bring Blueberry Swirl along your bottom lash line about 3/4 of the way, and smoke it out a little by using Berries N’ Cream.
Next, place Bubblgum on the middle of your lid and blend it slightly into Blueberry Swirl. Then bring the shadow across your lid to just before your inner corner. For the inner corner highlight and brow bone highlight, use Artemis from the Make Up Geek x Manny MUA Eyeshadow Palette. Blend Artemis up into Bubblegum and slightly into Blueberry Swirl along your bottom lash line. To add some definition to your eyes, apply Hot Fudge from the Dose of Colors EyesCream Eyeshadow Palette to your top lash line using an angled eyeliner brush. Start at the mid-point of your lid and bring it out to create a smokey winged liner.
Line your bottom waterline with a NYX Cosmetics Wonder Pencil in Light, and line your upper waterline with a NYX Cosmetics Slide On Glide On Pencil in Jet Black. I use a combination of two mascaras. I start with Pacifica Dream Big Lash Extending 7 in 1 Mascara and apply it first with the volumizing brush. After it dries, switch the mascara wand to the lengthening brush and apply a second coat to your lashes. Finally I use Blinc Amplified Mascara. I love this combination.
Eyebrow and Lips:
I usually keep my brow routine very simple unless I am going someplace special or feel like being a little more fancy than usual. I use Chella Eyebrow Defining Gel to keep my wild brows from being too wild.
For this look, you could pair it with a nude, a pink, or a purple lipstick. It really depends on the mood you are in. I chose a muted medium purple by NYX Cosmetics. It is their Lingerie Liquid Lipstick in Embellishment. This is one of my favorite lippies that I own because it’s such a beautiful color and the formula is long lasting.
This concludes the tutorial on my Blueberry Swirl Bubblegum look that I created using the Dose of Colors EyesCream Eyeshadow Palette. Thank you for reading to discover how I created this look, and if you recreate this look, please tag me or let me know. I would really love to see it!
